King Charles III Coronation Medal
The Coronation Medal was created to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. It is the first Canadian commemorative medal to mark a coronation.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this honour, a person must:
- Be a resident of the constituency of the current federal riding of Davenport;
- Have made a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region of, or community in, Canada, or attained an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada; and
- Been alive on May 6, 2023, the date of His Majesty’s Coronation. Nominations can be made posthumously, as long as the nominee was alive on that date.
The Medal may only be awarded once.
Making a Nomination
If you would like to nominate someone from the constituency of Davenport, please fill out the form below and submit it to Julie Dzerowicz’s email (julie.dzerowicz@parl.gc.ca), by July 30, 2024.
The person who is nominating should also provide a letter, saying why they think this candidate is suitable to be nominated. (No more than 500 words)

Guidelines for the Selection of Nominees
The following guidelines have been developed to assist nominators:
- Nominations should focus on the achievements of persons who have helped build the Canada of today, including youth, volunteers, educators, veterans and healthcare workers.
- Nominees may be selected for their long service and good conduct as a volunteer or member of an organization; for having demonstrated high professionalism; or for performing a deed or activity that brings great credit to Canada.
- Through their achievements and sustained contributions, nominees will have distinguished themselves from others employed in the same field.
- The Medal is to be awarded to individuals only, not to groups or couples.
- Self-nominations will not be accepted.
